Dave and I had a little 24 hour getaway last month. Grandma Michael was suppose to come and we were going to go away to Louisville. Tara was late in having her baby so Sharon extended her trip. We had already paid for our hotel so my parents were kind enough to come up and stay. We drove for our 2.5 hours to our nice hotel in downtown Louisville. We ate an early dinner and headed to the temple. It had been sine February that we had been together so it was long over due. It was a really small sessions which is sometimes nice. We stopped for some dessert on the way home and headed back to the hotel to get in the hot tub. We slept in really late and enjoyed an amazing breakfast the next morning. Embassy Suites has the best breakfasts! We had decided to go to the Louisville Slugger Museum to finish out the trip. On our way we discovered an outdoor robotics festival. We grabbed some greasy truck food (that made me sick!) and watched some demos before heading it. Somehow Dave got an amazing military discount and we got in for 10 bucks! The tour was of the actual factory where they make the bats. It was really neat to learn how detailed the process it to make a single bat. Dave dusted off his swing and hit some balls in the batting cage. We headed back after a great little 24 hours away. Dave and I needed a chance to talk and it was the perfect opportunity. I am grateful for grandparents that are willing to take care of the little ladies so we can enjoy time alone!
