Addi's Ice Cream Parlor

Well it has come and gone! Addi had her ice cream parlor party on Saturday. The weather was perfect and she had the time of her life. Everyone left with a little bit of heat stroke and sunburns. Grammie and Aunt Jenny came up to help celebrate and we were very grateful. They got put on cupcake decorating duty which I am terrible at. Addison got her first taste of root beer and just like her dad I think she will be a fan. Addison loved following (yes, she is walking!) around and playing with the ice cream toys with her friends. We pushed the two picnic tables together and had them decorated very cute! One table had all the toppings and ice cream tubs on it. I found so many fun things to decorate the table with and I didn't manage to get a picture of it. I found pastel colored wooden spoons which were my favorite. We had m&ms, different kinds of sprinkles, cherries, marshmallows, hot fudge, caramel, oreo toppings, roasted peanuts and mimi gummi bears. You could choose from different kinds of cones and vanilla or chocolate ice cream. Addison shared all of her outdoor toys. She cashed in her gift card from Grandma and Grandpa Micheal for her first blue slide! She can climb up the stairs, but we are working on not going down head first. We had giant balls, a tunnel, bean bag toss, easel with chalk and crayons, her birthday wagon and the favorite spot was all ice cream toys out on her new table from Papa. We have been practicing on how to "blow" something out and she nailed it on her candle! I wish we had video taped it. Addison chose to share her cupcake with Harley:) She received so many nice little presents from her thoughtful friends. She is getting used to sitting in the spotlight and getting presents handed to her! Addison sent everyone home with an ice cream cone squirt gun toy to say thank you for coming. Even though she is teething she still was a great party girl and we all had a great day!
